Eera Waste Refining Group is a global circular economy company with a novel concept for establishing and operating waste refineries.
Eera Waste Refining, based in Finland, is the parent company of the group, which consists of several regional hub companies – such as ARAFIN focusing on the MENA region.
Eera Waste Refining brings together Finnish and European know-how of the waste refining and solid recovered fuel (SRF) business.
The concept of Eera Waste Refining is based on three major innovations:
- The Bridgehead Model, which secures systemic demand and supply
- New dominant design in waste management

FOUNDERS OF EERA WASTE REFINING
Eera Industrial Development
Eera Industrial Development (EID) is a Finnish company established in 1986. The company was originally a management consultancy, which during the last few years has focused more and more on establishing new ventures, especially in the Cleantech and Waste to Energy sectors. In the beginning of 2016, the consultancy arm was transferred to a separate company called Eera Ltd and EID focuses purely on industrial development.

Finland’s biggest and most successful Venture Capital company. Lifeline Ventures has made 44 investments in healthcare, internet business, gaming technology and other technology companies. Lifeline operates three funds, the last of which manages 60 M€. Lifeline Ventures is a long time partner of Eera Industrial Development and has invested in three companies established by EID. The most successful Exit managed by Lifeline Ventures was the sales of game company Supercell to Japanese SoftBank for over 1 bn€.
WATE OY AND FINOW OY
The companies are owned by the Finnish industrialist family Paasikivi. Wate and Finow are family office-type investors making direct investments in technology oriented companies with a strong focus on clean tech. Wate has previously invested in one company established by Eera Industrial Development.
